How Anthology Began
Anthology was shaped by a shared belief that some places are worth saving—homes with history in their walls, character in their imperfections, and a feeling you can’t replicate in something brand new. Long before it became a collection of stays, it was simply a love for old homes, thoughtful design, and the way a well-cared-for space can shape how people feel inside it.
Pierre grew up in France, where he spent his early years apprenticing in the restoration of historic buildings, aging churches, and centuries-old homes—bringing new life to structures many would have overlooked. Alyssa’s story began with an early fascination for interiors and the emotional power of design: how light, texture, and atmosphere could transform the feeling of a room. Though her career ultimately led into branding and marketing, that instinct never left. Together, we found ourselves drawn to the same thing: restoring spaces with soul and creating environments people genuinely want to spend time in.
The First Anthology Home
On a fall weekend early in our relationship, we visited Door County together. It was Pierre’s first time there, and he immediately understood why Alyssa had grown up spending her summers in the area—the landscape unlike anywhere else in the state, with architecture that reflects another time, and a slower pace of life.
What began as a short getaway became a turning point: a desire to restore homes in places like this and create experiences where we could gather with family and friends, explore the region together, and make space for the stories that unfold there.
A few years later, we found a 1920s farmhouse that most people would have passed by without a second thought. Where others saw something too far gone, we saw character, history, and possibility. We spent years restoring it ourselves—preserving its architectural soul while reimagining it as a place where people could gather, reconnect, and create memories of their own. That home—Oak & Orchard House—became the first in the collection of Anthology Stays.

Our homes and the experience we create are deeply personal. Every home reflects our name, our standards, and the care we bring to both visible and invisible details. We work closely with trusted local teams to tend to these spaces and refine what it feels like to arrive, settle in, and be fully present.
